AivaanTech vs GSDC: AI Certification Compared (2026)

Quick answer: GSDC's Certified Generative AI Professional is an exam-based credential from a certification body, sold with video lessons, live sessions and mentoring. It covers 30+ tools and a wide syllabus, and GSDC does not show its price on the course page. AivaanTech's AI Tool Mastery is a 30-day course on 11 AI tools, with self-paced lessons, live classes and a Saturday Q&A. It costs ₹1,999 (currently 20% off ₹2,499), and ends in a capstone project and a verifiable certificate. Choose GSDC if you need a formal, accredited-style credential. Choose AivaanTech if you want to learn the tools at your own pace for a lower price and finish with a real project.
Disclosure: AivaanTech makes AI Tool Mastery, so we have an interest here. Everything we say about GSDC comes from its own public pages, as of 28 October 2026. We have tried to be fair, and some GSDC details are not published, which we say where it matters. Check GSDC's pages for the latest information before you decide.
If you are searching for a GSDC certification review, you are probably asking one question: is an exam-based certificate worth more than a course with a project? This guide puts the two side by side so you can decide for yourself.

How the GSDC Certified Generative AI Professional works
GSDC (the Global Skill Development Council) describes itself as a global professional certification body. On its site it says it is accredited by the International Accreditation Service as a Personnel Certification Body (reference PCB-168), aligned to ISO/IEC 17024, the international standard for organizations that certify people. Its home page also says it has more than 250,000 members.
The course page for the Certified Generative AI Professional (opens in a new tab) lists a single access package. Per the page, it includes:
- 36+ hours of self-paced expert-led video learning across 14 modules, with lifetime access
- Daily live sessions with experts, which GSDC calls GSDC Studio
- Three one-to-one sessions with subject matter experts
- Two practice exams
- A capstone and job-support programme, with a resume builder and interview preparation
- The certification exam, with a free retake
The page says the programme teaches 30+ tools through 76 hands-on activities, and that no coding is needed. The tools named include ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Gamma, Zapier AI, Jasper, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Azure AI Foundry and LangChain.
The syllabus is broad. The first modules cover traditional AI, machine learning and deep learning. Later modules cover generative AI tools, ethics, industry use cases, using AI in organizations, and agentic AI.
What is good about it:
- A formal, exam-based credential from a body that says it is accredited to ISO/IEC 17024
- A wide syllabus, from AI basics to agentic AI
- Live sessions and one-to-one expert time included
- A free retake, and certificates valid for 5 years, according to GSDC's FAQ
What to think about:
- GSDC's course page does not show a price. At the time we checked, it showed only a "50% off" offer.
- The page does not describe the exam format, number of questions or passing score
- With 30+ tools in 36+ hours of video, time per tool is limited
- The assessment is an exam, not a project you build
How AivaanTech AI Tool Mastery works
AI Tool Mastery takes a different approach: a low flat price, a fixed 30-day path, and a project instead of an exam.
- 30 days of structured learning in five modules, with 60 days of access to revisit every lesson
- 11 AI tools, hands-on, from everyday assistants like ChatGPT and Claude to builder tools like Lovable, Replit and Cursor AI
- A capstone project you complete to earn the certificate
- A verifiable certificate with your name, the issue date and a unique ID
- No coding required
What is good about it: the price, the flexibility, and a certificate tied to work you actually produced.
Also worth knowing: you can study on your own schedule, and there are live classes and a Saturday Q&A when you want to ask questions. It focuses on 11 core tools, so you spend more time on each one.
The real difference: an exam credential vs a project certificate
These two options answer different questions.
- GSDC is built around a standardized exam and a credential from a certification body. GSDC's own FAQ says a certification from an exam shows verified competence and carries more weight than a course-completion certificate.
- AivaanTech is built around a project you finish. The certificate shows you produced real work with AI tools, and anyone can check it online.
An exam shows what you know on the day. A project shows what you can make. Which matters more depends on who will read your certificate. A recruiter or compliance team may ask for a recognised credential. A manager or client may care more about what you can show them. For more on this, read our guide to what an AI certification course should prove.
On cost, the two are far apart, but we cannot give a number for GSDC because it is not on the page. Ask for the full fee in writing, including the exam, and compare it with ₹1,999.
GSDC refund policy vs AivaanTech refund policy
Both sell with a 7-day money-back promise, and both attach conditions.
GSDC says that to claim a refund you must have completed 50% of the learning material, attended at least two one-to-one sessions and not taken the final exam. Its refund policy also says the guarantee no longer applies if you have attended more than two live training sessions delivered by its partner. Refund requests go by email, and they must be made within 7 days of purchase.
AivaanTech allows a full refund within 7 days of purchase, as long as you have not completed more than 30% of the lessons or received your certificate. See the AivaanTech refund policy (opens in a new tab) for the full terms.
Read the whole policy for any course before you pay, not just the headline.
Which one should you pick?
Choose GSDC if you need a formal, exam-based credential, an employer or application asks for one, you want live sessions and mentoring, and the total fee fits your budget or your employer is paying.
Choose AivaanTech if you want to learn at your own pace, you want a low and clear price, you prefer to practise 11 core tools in depth, and you want a capstone project and a certificate you can verify online.
Not sure? Start with the lower-cost option, build the skills and a project, and add a formal exam later if a job or client requires it. For a wider view, see our guide to the best AI courses online in India, or our comparisons with Techademy and Simplilearn.
GSDC alternatives to consider
If GSDC does not fit, a few other routes are worth a look:
- A live bootcamp, if you want an instructor and a cohort. Our AivaanTech vs Techademy comparison covers one.
- An AI tools course with self-paced lessons and live classes, and a project, such as AI Tool Mastery.
- A vendor certification from Microsoft, Google or AWS, if you work in a role that uses their platforms.
- A tool-specific course, such as our ChatGPT course or Microsoft Copilot course.
How to judge any AI certification before you pay
- What does the certificate prove? An exam, a project, or just attendance?
- Is the full price shown? Include the exam fee, retakes and taxes.
- Can an employer check it? Look for a public verification page.
- What are the refund conditions? Read the policy, not just the banner.
- What do independent reviews say? Read reviews on sites the provider does not control, and read several, not one.
- Will I use these tools at work? More tools is not always better.
